That’s where the Healing House comes in. More than a shelter, it is a sanctuary: a place where rescued children receive counseling, education, and the daily consistency of a life that is theirs to build. In partnership with the Together Foundation, Helping Hands is creating environments that function as both home and school: places where children can live, learn, and be nourished in mind and body, shaped by a value-driven approach to education that places their dignity at the center. Closer to home, the organization offers art and music ther- apy programs for children in the Laguna Beach community, creating space for young people to process, express, and heal through creativity. They also collaborate with Operation Underground Railroad, one of the world’s leading anti-traf- ficking organizations, to expand rescue operations and awareness on a global scale. THE WOMAN BEHIND IT Kristi Noël has spent over 12 years helping people heal, through Quantum Energy work, through guidance, through the kind of deep listening that takes practice and devotion. She is also a mother of five, and it is that combination— the healer and the mother—that gives Helping Hands its particular character. The organization’s logo began as a watercolor: Kristi and her one-year-old daughter painting their hands together, holding a heart. It is, in its simplicity, a perfect symbol of what the work is. Not institutional. Not distant.
