That restraint translated into a warm, layered palette of off-whites, 
natural textures, and European oak flooring rather than stark con-
temporary finishes. Custom-designed lighting became a defining fea-
ture throughout the home, particularly in the dramatic entry where 
oversized fixtures, scaled specifically for the architecture, create the 
feeling of stepping into a luxury boutique hotel.
The kitchen became another focal point. Brophy and Mozayeni intro-
duced a custom iron-and-glass opening connecting the kitchen and 
dining room, creating a stronger architectural flow while enhancing 
the home’s entertaining capabilities. Minimal upper cabinetry, floor-
to-ceiling storage solutions, and integrated Miele appliances allowed 
the space to feel highly functional while maintaining a clean and 
timeless aesthetic.
“There’s so much noise right now with Pinterest and Instagram,” 
Brophy says. “Everyone’s trying so hard. I think confidence in design 
comes from not trying to show off.”
That philosophy also informed the preservation of several original ele-
ments within the home. Existing stonework, doors, and select architec-
tural details were refinished rather than replaced, giving the property 
a sense of permanence and authenticity. In one standout space, Brophy 
transformed a traditional library by color-drenching the room in a 
deep moody tone, creating a dramatic yet sophisticated retreat.

这一理念也影响了她对住宅中若干原有元素的保留。现有
石材、门，以及部分建筑细节并未被替换，而是经过重新修
整与再处理，从而赋予物业一种持久性与真实感。在其中一
处令人印象深刻的空间里，Brophy 将一间传统书房以深
邃而富有情绪的色调进行整体包覆，打造出一个既戏剧化
又精致的静谧居所。
