海岸

The Shore

Orange County’s beaches rank among the 
finest in the world, not just for their beauty, 
which is considerable, but also for the effort-
less culture that surrounds them. This is a 
coastline that has inspired generations of 
surfers, artists, architects, and dreamers, and 
it shows. The light here is a photographer’s 
obsession, the sand is warm by mid-morn-
ing, and the stretch from Balboa Peninsula to 
Crystal Cove offers scenery that no postcard 
has ever quite done justice.
Behind the beach, the streets and shops of 
Newport reflect the same quiet confidence. 
Fashion here is unhurried and considered: 
linen and leather, colour and ease, dressing for 
a life spent largely outdoors and always close 
to beautiful things. The boutiques, the galler-
ies, the open-air moments of discovery around 
every corner: this is shopping as it should feel, 
with the ocean always somewhere nearby.
