In the years since, Christopher Tompkins’ New England-inspired, California- grown seafood concept has quietly become the ultimate embodiment of quiet luxury dining: no white tablecloths, no pretense, just some of the freshest, most thoughtfully sourced shellfish on the coast, served on a patio with your feet more or less in the sand. The lobster rolls are our headliner: buttered, generous, cold or warm, and worth the drive from almost anywhere. But the raw bar is the heart of it: local sea urchin, rotating oysters, caviar by the ounce, a crisp natural wine list that pairs effortlessly with whatever just came out of the ice.
